The Concept Naming Rules
SIMPLIFIED DOMAIN NAMES MUST FOLLOW THESE RULES:
  • The name is NOT case sensitive.
    Note: The browser automatically converts the url to a lowercase name.

  • The name cannot contain any special characters, with ONE exception: hyphens ("-").
    Right: like-t.his
    Wrong: like_t.his, liket.his!, or like@t.his
  • Special rules for hyphens: A hypen can not be located anywhere on the right side of the dot.
    Right: like-t.his
    Wrong: typ.e-a
  • A hypen can not be the last character before the dot.
    Right: like-t.his
    Wrong: piano-.man
  • A hypen can not be the first character in a name.
    Right: like-t.his
    Wrong: -liket.his
  • The name must be at least 4 characters long.
    Right: r.ead
    Wrong: .red
  • The name cannot be all numeric; it must have at least 1 letter.
    Right: rede2.sk8
    Wrong: 1234.567
  • The name cannot exceed 26 characters (including the dot).
    Right: liket.his
    Wrong: abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.123
  • The name must not be in our Tradmark Table.
    Right:myn.ame
    Wrong: xe.rox
